The Invasion of The Cuddle Givers

No, not a 1950's horror movie, and certainly not the later remake which was, in my opinion, a total turkey.

Yes, He has been at it again. The mysterious Mr. G. is sending more of his minions out into the big wide world. Destination Idlib, Syria.

Mr. G. gives a rousing speech to the next 35 'agents'

When asked, 'sources close to Mr. G.' disclosed his master-plan. He believes that if he can insert a a Teddy-Bear or TBE (Teddy-Bear Equivalent) into the arms of every child, over time every person in the world would have one. The Bears would then take over and we would have world peace, prosperity and unlimited honey under his bearnign dictatfurship. (Personally, I think he's most interested in the unlimited honey!)

When it was pointed out that this could take centuries, the source replied with a shrug "He's a Bear."

Ursine Insinuation

As intimated in my post back in January, Mr G Bear continues his attempt to achieve world domination through Teddy bears. The latest group of 29 recruits have been fully trained in 'Looking Cute', 'Snuggling', 'Comforting', and, apparently, standing on each others shoulders.

Once again I had the fun of sewing them up, stuffing them and giving them faces. Each face is slightly different. That's not intentional on my part, but being bears they demand a certain amount of individuality.
It probably takes a couple of hours to sew up the seams, fill and face each bear. We discussed it and came to the conclusion that each bear took about seven hours from start to finish. But it's fun doing them.

And as for this group;

They are off today to Africa, to Little Libraries via Craft Tea who meet at Leo's Beanery on a Wednesday afternoon. Our bears go where they are needed. Or perhaps their destination is decided on by the mysterious Mr G Bear and they are a 'Ninja Cuddling' squad, a furry Fifth Column in his quest for World Domination by Teddy-Bear.

And that's what I've been doing this week.

World Domination By Teddy-Bears

Deadlines! Don't you love them?

"We need these sewn up and stuffed, ready to go, by a week on Wednesday."
'These' were thirty knitted teddy-bears. They needed their seams sewn, stuffed, faces added and scarves fixed in place in two weeks.
It wasn't quite drop everything else to get it done, but it was a close run thing.

Jane-Beth knits the bears for Craft Tea for Charity, I get the 'fun' of sewing them up and finishing them, then they go off to various refugee camps.

At least that's the story I'm being told!

Personally, seeing Mr. G. Bear addressing his 'troops', I think he's planning World Domination By Teddy-Bears.

This is the second cohort he has sent out into the world and no doubt there will be more, then one day, at a given signal, they will all rise up and take over. The best advice I can give you in the event of Teddy-Bear Insurrection is that you keep hunny and smackerils handy to placate them.
